06190540 BOILING RIVER AT MAMMOTH, YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK
LOCATION - Lat 44°59'06.48", long 110°41'21.64" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Park County, WY, Hydrologic Unit 10070001, Yellowstone National Park, on left bank 50 ft downstream from outfall, 150 ft upstream of mouth, and 0.8 mi northeast of U.S. Post Office at Mammoth.
DRAINAGE AREA - Not determined.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1988 to September 1995, October 2002 to January 2011, September 2012 to current year. Published as "Hot River" at Mammoth from 1989-94.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 5,666.11 ft, referenced to the National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 (levels by U.S. National Park Service). U.S. Geological Survey satellite telemeter is located at the station.

10/01/2017 to 09/30/2018: records are good, except estimated records are fair.
10/01/2016 to 09/30/2017: records are good, except estimated records are fair.
10/01/2015 to 09/30/2016: records are good, except estimated records are fair.
10/01/2014 to 09/30/2015: records are good, except estimated records are fair. 
10/01/2013 to 09/30/2014: records are good. 
No regulation or diversion occurs upstream from station, however, flow is added from sinkholes upstream from spring.

10/01/2015 to 09/30/2016: records are excellent, except records from May 16 to July 28 which are good,
records from July 29 to Aug. 15 which are fair, and records from Aug. 16-22 which are poor. There is
missing record Aug. 23-24.
10/01/2014 to 09/30/2015: records are excellent, except records from Oct. 1 to Nov. 18 are poor.  
10/01/2013 to 09/30/2014: records are excellent, except records from June 26 to Aug. 26 are good, 
records from Aug. 27 to Sept. 27 are fair, and records from Sept. 21-30 are poor. 
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD -
SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: Maximum daily, 2,410 microsiemens per centimeter (uS/cm) at 25.0°C, 
Jan. 29, 1990; minimum daily, 1,500 uS/cm at 25.0°C, July, 17, 22, 23, 1990.
WATER TEMPERATURE: Maximum, 59.8°C, November 12, 2015; minimum, 34.5°C, May 19 and 20, 2009.
