LOCATION - Lat 44°09'30.7", long 108°52'21.3" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.04, T.48 N., R.100 W., Park County, WY, Hydrologic Unit 10080009, on right bank at southeast bridge abutment of State Highway 120 bridge in the town of Meeteetse.
DRAINAGE AREA - 681 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1309: 1923(M), 1924, 1925(M). WSP 1709: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - June to December 1897, April to October 1903 (gage heights and discharge measurements only), July 1920 to June 30, 2018 (no winter records since 1971). Partial records only for some periods prior to 1931, published in WSP 1309.  Discontinued.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 5,735 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map. See WSP 1916 for history of changes prior to April 28, 1938. April 28, 1938 to May 24, 1961, at site on left bank 0.3 mi upstream at different datum. May 25, 1961 to May 9, 1967, at site on left bank 0.25 mi upstream at previous datum. May 10, 1967 to March 1, 2005 at site on right bank 0.25 mi upstream. March 2, 2005 to October 15, 2015 at site on right bank 0.25 mi upstream at datum 1 ft lower than previous datum. Wyoming State Engineer's data collection platform with satellite telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Station operated and record provided by the Wyoming State Engineer's Office; record reviewed by U.S. Geological Survey.
REMARKS - 
Water Year 2018 (seasonal to June 30): records are good.
Water Year 2017 (seasonal): records are fair.
Water Year 2016 (seasonal): records are good, except October 1-14 which are poor.
Water Year 2015 (seasonal): records are good, except October 9 to May 28 which are fair, and May 29 to September 30 which are poor.
Water Year 2014 (seasonal): records are good.
Some regulation by Sunshine Reservoir beginning May 1940, capacity, 52,990 acre-ft, and Lower Sunshine
Reservoir beginning December 1972, capacity, 58,900 acre-ft. Diversions for irrigation upstream from
station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge from velocity-area study using floodmarks.
