LOCATION - Lat 44°33'54", long 107°42'44" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.17, T.53 N., R.90 W., Big Horn County, WY, Hydrologic Unit 10080010, on right bank 0.9 mi upstream from White Creek and 5.0 mi northeast of Shell.
DRAINAGE AREA - 145 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1239: 1941, 1945(M). WSP 1709: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1940 to June 30, 2018 (no winter records since 1971). Prior to December 1940, monthly discharge only, published in WSP 1309.  Discontinued.

 

GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 4,370.05 ft above NGVD of 1929. Wyoming State Engineer's data collection platform with satellite telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Station operated and record provided by the Wyoming State Engineer's Office; record reviewed by U.S. Geological Survey.
REMARKS -
Water Year 2018 (seasonal record to June 30): records are good.
Water Year 2017 (seasonal record): records are good.
Water Year 2016 (seasonal record): records are good.
Water Year 2015 (seasonal record): records are good, except discharges between 200 and 700 cfs are fair.
Water Year 2014 (seasonal record): records are good.
Some regulation by two small reservoirs, capacity, 3,650 acre-ft. Diversions upstream from station for
irrigation downstream from station.
