LOCATION - Lat 44°53'11", long 106°59'18" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 SE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.28, T.57 N., R.84 W., Sheridan County, WY, Hydrologic Unit 10090101, on right bank 0.2 mi north of county road, 1.6 mi south of Acme, and 3.4 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 413 mi².
PERIOD OF RECORD - May 1984 to September 2007. June 18, 2015 to December 1, 2015.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 3,620 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map. U.S. Geological Survey data collection platform with satellite telemetry at station.

10-05-2017 to 11-06-2018: records are good, except estimated records are poor.

10-14-2016 to 10-04-2017: records are good, except for estimated records are poor.

12-02-2015 to 10-13-2016: records are good, except for estimated records are poor.
06-18-2015 to 12-01-2015:  Records good. 

Some regulation by many small reservoirs, combined capacity, about 15,000 acre-ft. Natural flow of stream affected by transbasin diversions, storage reservoirs, diversions for irrigation, and return flow from irrigated areas.

PERIOD OF RECORD - Water years 1983-89, 2004 to August 2008.
INSTRUMENTATION - Specific conductance probe installed late April 2004.
REMARKS - Specific conductance record rated good to excellent except for May 28 to June 29, which is rated fair to poor. Low-level mercury sample taken on July 14, results in nanograms per liter. Several unpublished observations of specific conductance and water temperature were made during the year. The water quality sampling on August 4 was conducted in conjunction with aquatic ecology sampling for an interagency task group studying the effects of coal-bed natural gas development.
