LOCATION - Lat 44°50'32", long 106°52'50" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NW 1/4 NW 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.08, T.56 N., R.83 W., Sheridan County, WY, Hydrologic Unit 10090101, on right bank at county bridge, 1.2 mi upstream from Wildcat Creek and 4.0 mi northeast of Sheridan.
DRAINAGE AREA - 88.3 mi² of which 0.40 mi² probably is noncontributing.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - May 2004 to August 5, 2014 (discontinued).
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 3,695 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map. U.S. Geological Survey data collection platform with satellite telemetry at station.
REMARKS - 10/01/13-08/05/14: Records good except those for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Diversions for irrigation upstream and downstream from station. Flow supplemented by transbasin diversions from North Piney Creek via Prairie Dog Creek Ditch, Piney-Cruse Ditch, and Meade and Coffeen Ditch. Quality of water data were collected and are available at http://waterdata.usgs.gov/usa/nwis/qw.
