LOCATION - Lat 46°39'25", long 102°04'44" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.30, T.137 N., R.90 W., Grant County, ND, Hydrologic Unit 10130202, on right bank 100 ft downstream from bridge on county road and 16 mi south and 1 mi west of Hebron.
DRAINAGE AREA - 1,530 mi². approximately.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - DAILY DISCHARGE--July 1988 to current year.

PERIOD OF RECORD.--DAILY GAGE HEIGHT--October 1999 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 2,092 ft above NAVD88, from topographic map. In October 2019, datum was converted to NAVD88 datum using the National Geodetic Surveys VDATUM transformation tool. Prior to conversion to NAVD88 datum was published as 2,090 ft above NGVD29, from topographic map.
REMARKS - Accuracy of records for water years prior to 2014 are noted in the individual Annual Data Reports for those water years. For water years 2014 onward, records good except for, Oct. 2, 2018 to Jun. 17, 2019 which are poor and estimated discharges, which are poor, unless otherwise noted.

REGULATION.--Flow is regulated by E.A. Patterson Lake (station 06343500) about 90 river mi upstream from station, and some diversions for irrigation and water supply at low flow.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum peak flow, about 15,300 ft³/s, Mar. 24, 2019, peak stage 22.81 ft. For the March to April 2009 high-water period, a maximum stage of 25.79 ft, March 23, 2009, from flood mark, was noted. This peak maximum may have been exceeded during the period of no stage record, April 11-24, 2009.
