- Water-Year Summary reports summarize a year of hydrologic data in a printer-friendly format.
- For water years 2014 onward, choose a water year and parameter and an on-demand Water-Year Summary report will be generated.
- For water years 2006 through 2013, choose a water year and an Annual Water Data Report will be provided.
- For water years 2005 and earlier, Annual Water Data Reports may be available in digital format.
- Not all sites have reports available for every water year.

LOCATION - Lat 45°38'55.3", long 102°38'34.4" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 NE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.33, T.20 N., R.12 E., Perkins County, SD, Hydrologic Unit 10130302, on left bank at downstream side of highway bridge, 1.0 mi upstream from Little Nasty Creek, 4.0 mi north of Cash, 10 mi south of Lodgepole, 12 mi northwest of Bison, and 16 mi downstream from Big Nasty Creek.
DRAINAGE AREA - 1,306 mi².

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1945 to August 2001 (October 1995 to August 2001 seasonal records only), and April 2003 to current year. Monthly discharge only for some periods, published in WSP 1309.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 2,424.17 ft above NAVD of 1988. Prior to Oct. 25, 1946, nonrecording gage and Oct. 25, 1946, to May 16, 1966, water-stage recorder, at site 500 ft upstream. May 17, 1966, to May 2, 1968, nonrecording gage, at present site, all at same datum.
REMARKS - Accuracy of records for water years prior to 2014 are noted in the individual Annual Data Reports for those water years. For water years 2014 onward, records good except for estimated discharges, which are poor, unless otherwise noted. Satellite data-collection platform at station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 27,000 ft³/s, Apr. 15, 1950, gage height 15.40 ft, from rating curve extended above 14,000 ft³/s, on basis of slope-area measurement of peak flow; minimum daily discharge, 0.00 ft³/s, Feb. 6, 1948, no flow at times in most years.
