LOCATION - Lat 44°04'02.2", long 103°10'49.7" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NW 1/4 NW 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.08, T.1 N., R.8 E., Pennington County, SD, Hydrologic Unit 10120110, 1.5 mi downstream from diversion to Hawthorn Ditch and 1.0 mi upstream from diversion to Murphy Ditch.
DRAINAGE AREA - 422 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR SD-10-1: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - 1947-1954, May 1980 to July 1982 (continuous-record gaging station), 2000-present.
GAGE - Seasonal water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum is 3,125.71 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (NAVD88).  Prior to Oct. 1, 2020, datum was published as 3,124.18 ft above the National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. METWARN station.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood of June 9-10, 1972, reached a stage of 24.3 ft, present datum, from floodmark established by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
