LOCATION - Lat 43°45'19", long 101°13'39" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NW 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.27, T.44 N., R.33 W., Mellette County, SD, Hydrologic Unit 10140202, on right bank at downstream side pier of State Highway 63 bridge, 0.9 mi upstream from Porcupine Creek, 3.7 mi upstream from mouth, and 5.6 mi southeast of Belvidere.
DRAINAGE AREA - 273 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR SD-10-1: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - April 1992 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage.  Datum of gage 2,061 ft above NAVD88, from topographic map. Prior to conversion to NAVD 88, datum was published as 2,060 ft above NGVD29, from topographic map.
REMARKS - Accuracy of records for water years prior to 2014 are noted in the individual Annual Data Reports for those water years. For water years 2014 onward, records good except those for Aug. 7, 2014 to Sept. 2, 2014, June 27, 2015 to Aug. 10, 2015, and Apr. 16 - 18, 2016, June 7, 2022 to July 19, 2022, which are fair and those for estimated discharges, which are poor. EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Minimum daily discharge, 0.00 ft³/s, Oct. 1, 1992, no flow at times in most years.
