LOCATION - Lat 43°08'45.3", long 101°30'44.8" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.25, T.37 N., R.36 W., Bennett County, SD, Hydrologic Unit 10140203, on left bank 40 ft upstream from east boundary of LaCreek game refuge, 1.2 mi southwest of Tuthill, and 5.5 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 121 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR SD-10-1: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - February 1938 to September 1940, July 1962 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage 2,989.58 ft above NAVD88. Prior to conversion to NAVD 88, datum was published as 3,055 ft above NGVD29, by barometer. Prior to Oct. 1, 1999, at site 400 ft downstream at datum 3,055 ft above NGVD29, by barometer. Prior to Aug. 4, 1938, nonrecording gage at site 400 ft downstream at datum 3,055 ft above NGVD29, by barometer.
REMARKS - Accuracy of records for water years prior to 2014 are noted in the individual Annual Data Reports for those water years. For water years 2014 onward, records good except for Dec. 12, 2018 to Aug. 7, 2019, which are fair and Oct 7, 2020 to May 4, 2021, Aug 25, 2022 to Sept 14, 2023 and estimated discharges, which are poor, unless otherwise noted.
