LOCATION - Lat 42°45'55.00", long 97°10'21.24" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in sec.11, T.32 N., R.2 E., Cedar County, NE, Hydrologic Unit 10170101, County Highway bridge, 1.5 mi north of Wynot, and 2.7 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 460 mi².  
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - March to September 2015; April 2016 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder with satellite telemetry. Datum of gage is not determined.
REMARKS - Records fair except for estimated daily discharges, which are poor, unless otherwise noted.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum peak flow, 12,500 ft³/s, gage height, 18.04 ft, March 13, 2019.
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
INSTRUMENTATION - During the 2015 year, a YSI 6600 EDS water quality monitor was used. During 2018 a YSI Exo meter was used. These instruments were used to monitor water temperature, specific conductance, pH, and dissolved oxygen.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - These extremes may have been exceeded during non monitoring periods. Data collected seasonally during 2015 and 2018.

WATER TEMPERATURE: Maximum, 35.9 °C, July 12, 2015; minimum, 0.0 °C, various days during winter periods.

SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: Maximum, 1400 uS/cm, August 7, 2018; minimum, 232 uS/cm, September 23, 2015.

pH: Maximum, 8.6  standard units, April 3, 2018; minimum 7.5 standard units July 13, 2018. 

DISSOLVED OXYGEN: Maximum, 14.1 mg/L, April 4, 2018; minimum, 4.9 mg/L, July 28, 2015.
