LOCATION - Lat 44°55'08", long 97°02'43" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.27, T.117 N., R.52 W., Codington County, SD, Hydrologic Unit 10170201, on right downstream bank at bridge, about 6.7 river miles upstream from mouth, and about 4.0 mi northeast of Watertown.
DRAINAGE AREA - 109 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR SD-00-1: 1972(M,P); 1977-80, 1983(M); 1984(M,P, June 15 daily discharge); 1985(M); 1986(M, P, Mar. 27-31 daily discharge). WDR SD-09-1: 1978(daily discharges for March 30-31).

Prior to October 1999, gage was about 2 miles downstream at datum of 1,721.24 feet above the National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 (NGVD29).

REMARKS - Accuracy of records for water years prior to 2014 are noted in the individual Annual Data Reports for those water years. For water years 2014 onward, records good. Satellite data-collection platform at station. Peak gage height for the 2017 and 2023 water years are from floodmarks.
