LOCATION - Lat 43°50'53.6", long 96°50'11.4" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 NW 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.04, T.104 N., R.50 W., Minnehaha County, SD, Hydrologic Unit 10170203, on right bank near downstream of county highway bridge and 5.6 mi southeast of Chester.
DRAINAGE AREA - 262 mi² of which 12 mi² probably is noncontributing.
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR SD-10-1: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - August 1984 to September 1987, October 2001 to current year.
GAGE -

Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage.  Datum of gage is 1,559.79 feet above the North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (NAVD88) and 1,557.23 feet above the National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 (NGVD29).

REMARKS - Accuracy of records for water years prior to 2014 are noted in the individual Annual Data Reports for those water years. For water years 2014 onward, records good except those for July 6 - 10, 2015, May 28 to July 13, 2016, and May 11 to Aug. 9, 2018 which are fair and those for estimated discharges, which are poor.
