- For water years 2006 through 2013, choose a water year and an Annual Water Data Report will be provided.
- For water years 2005 and earlier, Annual Water Data Reports may be available in digital format.

LOCATION - Lat 41°46'37", long 99°22'45" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.22, T.21 N., R.18 W., Loup County, NE, Hydrologic Unit 10210006, on left bank 25 ft downstream from bridge on U.S. Highway 183, 0.4 mi North of Taylor and at mile 80.6.
DRAINAGE AREA - 2,350 mi² of which 2,164 mi² probably is noncontributing.

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - November 1936 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder with satellite telemetry. Datum of gage is 2,249.04 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Prior to Sept. 28, 1938, and from September 28, 1938 to September 23, 2015, datum of gage was 2,248.21 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 (NGVD 1929). Prior to September 28, 1938, non-recording gage at same site. September 28, 1938 to July 16, 1958, water-stage recorder at site 450 ft upstream.
REMARKS - Accuracy of records for water years prior to 2014 are noted in the individual Annual Data Reports for those water years. For water years 2014 onward, records good except for estimated daily discharges, which are poor, unless otherwise noted. North Loup Public Power and Irrigation District Canal began diversion from river in April 1939 at point 5 mi above station. Several smaller diversions above station for irrigation.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 16,300 ft³/s, June 12, 2010, gage height, 7.27 ft, due to upstream diversion dam failure. From rating curve extended above 4,110 ft³/s (measurement on June 11, 2010), and records for (06788500) North Loup River at Ord. Maximum gage height, 9.50 ft, February 25, 1957, from floodmark, backwater from ice.
