LOCATION - Lat 41°27'10", long 96°46'32" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.07, T.17 N., R.6 E., Dodge County, NE, Hydrologic Unit 10200201, on left bank 80 ft upstream from bridge on State Highway 79, 1 mi south of North Bend, 5 mi downstream from Shell Creek, and at mile 73.0.
DRAINAGE AREA - 70,400 mi² of which 12,600 mi² probably is noncontributing.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - April 1949 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder with satellite telemetry. Datum of the gage is 1,262.80 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (NAVD88). February 25, 1949 to September 10, 1951: non-recording chain gage located at 41.4532, -96.7754 at a datum of 1,264.80 ft above NAVD88. September 11, 1951 to September 30, 1970: water-stage recorder located at 41.4532, -96.7754 at a datum of 1,264.80 ft above NAVD88. October 01, 1970 to present: water-stage recorder located at 41.4532, -96.7754 at a datum of 1,262.80 ft above NAVD88.
REMARKS - Accuracy of records for water years prior to 2014 are noted in the individual Annual Data Reports for those water years. For water years 2014 onward, records fair except for estimated daily discharges, which are poor, unless otherwise noted. Natural flow of stream affected by transmountain diversions, storage reservoirs, power developments, groundwater withdrawals, diversions for irrigation, and return flow from irrigated areas.
