LOCATION - Lat 40°20'43.8", long 94°49'56.5" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.15, T.64 N., R.35 W., Nodaway County, MO, Hydrologic Unit 10240013, Gage is located on the right bank 150 ft upstream from bridge on U.S. Highway 136, 0.3 mi downstream from Thill Branch, 1 mi east of Maryville, and at mile 64.0.
DRAINAGE AREA - 515 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - Revisions: Gage datum was updated to 954.55 ft NAVD88 on July 27, 2023, based on GNSS Level II survey using GEOID18.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Oct 1932 to Sep 1990, Mar 22, 2001 to current year. Apr to Jun 1934 monthly discharge only published in WSP 1310. Jun 1934 to Sep 1971 published as "near Maryville".
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 954.55 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Nonrecording gage prior to Sep 15, 1958. Prior to Jun 20, 1934, at site 20 ft upstream and datum 10 ft higher. Jun 20, 1934 to Jul 19, 1971, at site 3 mi upstream at datum 15.68 ft higher. Jul 20, 1971 to Sep 1990, at site 20 ft upstream and datum 10 ft higher.

EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood of Sep 16, 1926 reached a stage of 25 ft, present datum from floodmark; discharge, 14,500 ft³/s.
