LOCATION - Lat 40°08'45", long 100°40'22" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.11, T.2 N., R.30 W., Red Willow County, NE, Hydrologic Unit 10250004, on right bank downstream from county road bridge, 5.8 mi upstream from mouth, and 3.5 mi southwest of McCook.
DRAINAGE AREA - 361 mi² of which 10 mi² probably is noncontributing.
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1210: 1950. WDR NE-94-1: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - March 1946 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder with satellite telemetry. Datum of gage is 2,503.57 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (NAVD88). May 30, 1992 to August 16, 2017 at datum 2,502.78 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 (NGVD29). Prior to Oct. 12, 1962, at site 1.5 mi downstream in old channel at 2,493.78 ft above NGVD29; Oct. 12, 1962 to Apr. 11, 1963, at site 1.8 mi downstream at datum 2,490.03 ft above NGVD29 ; Apr. 12, 1963 to Apr. 22, 1982, at site 1.3 mi downstream at 2,493.78 ft above NGVD29; and Apr. 22, 1982 to May 29, 1992, at site 3.2 mi downstream at 2,485.23 ft above NGVD29 .
REMARKS - Accuracy of records for water years prior to 2014 are noted in the individual Annual Data Reports for those water years. For water years 2014 onward, records good except for estimated daily discharges, which are poor, unless otherwise noted. Natural flow affected by returns from Meeker-Driftwood Canal and by irrigation development above station.
