LOCATION - Lat 40°07'12", long 99°53'35" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in sec.23, T.2 N., R.23 W., Furnas County, NE, Hydrologic Unit 10250014,
DRAINAGE AREA - 2,080 mi² of which 430 mi² probably is noncontributing.
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1340: 1937-38(M), 1939, 1940-41(M), 1943(M), WSP 2119: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1936 to September 1994, October 2014 to current year. Monthly discharge only for some periods, published in WSP 1310.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder with satellite telemetry. Datum of gage is 2164.84 ft above sea level, adjustment of 1988. Prior to August 13, 1947, nonrecording gages and August 13, 1947 to November 14, 1957, water-stage recorder, at site 400 ft upstream at datum 2.0 ft higher. November 15, 1957, to September 22, 1958 at site 3.6 mi upstream at different datum.
REMARKS - For water years 2015 onward, records good except for estimated daily discharges, which are poor, unless otherwise noted. Natural flow affected by irrigation development above station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum peak flow, 9,510 ft³/s, June 14, 1983, gage height 15.68 ft.
