LOCATION - Lat 40°08'47.3", long 97°12'02.6" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.16, T.2 N., R.2 E., Jefferson County, NE, Hydrologic Unit 10270207, on downstream side of State Highway 136 bridge, 0.5 mi west of Fairbury.
DRAINAGE AREA - 2,350 mi².

May 23, 1908 to Sept. 30, 1915, non-recording gage at Highway 15 at different datum. Apr. 26, 1929 to Sept. 24, 1957, non-recording gage or water-stage recorder at site 3.5 miles downstream from Highway 15 bridge at various datums. Sept. 25, 1957 to Aug. 20, 1991, water-stage recorder at Highway 15 at datum 1,282.19 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Aug. 21, 1991 to July 31, 2003, water-stage recorder at Highway 15 at datum 1,277.19 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929.
REMARKS - Accuracy of records for water years prior to 2014 are noted in the individual Annual Data Reports for those water years.
