06901500 LOCUST CREEK NEAR LINNEUS, MO
LOCATION - Lat 39°53'45.4", long 93°14'11.5" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.34, T.59 N., R.21 W., Linn County, MO, Hydrologic Unit 10280103, on right bank on upstream side of county road, 1 mi upstream from Boyer bridge, 1.5 mi upstream from Strawberry and Couch Creeks, 3 mi northwest of Linneus, and 5 mi downstream from West Locust Creek.
DRAINAGE AREA - 550 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - Revisions: Gage datum was updated to 693.05 ft NAVD88 on June 14, 2022, as determined by a GNSS Level II survey. Gage datum was previously published as 692.61 ft NGVD29 from levels.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Oct 1928 to Sep 1972, Jul 2000 to current year. Prior to Apr 1929 monthly discharge only published in WSP 1310.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 693.05 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Prior to Jul 26, 1956, nonrecording gage at same site and datum.
REMARKS - Accuracy of records is discussed in the annual Station Analysis archived at the USGS MO Water Science Center.  
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood of Jul 1909 reached a discharge of about 18,000 ft³/s, determination by the Corps of Engineers.
