LOCATION - Lat 35°04'49", long 90°04'45" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Shelby County, TN, Hydrologic Unit 08010211, on center of downstream side of bridge on Riverport Road, inside the city limits of Memphis, Tennessee, 0.34 miles southwest of I-55, 0.46 miles northeast of the intersection of Riverport Rd. and Rivergate Rd. and 0.75 miles from mouth of creek.
DRAINAGE AREA - 183 mi². 183 mi²
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - September 18, 2012 to current year.
GAGE - Data collection platform. Datum of gage is 174.39 ft above NAVD of 1988 based on level line run to benchmark FF0470, A-90_9.
REMARKS - Site is located approximately one mile upstream from the Mississippi River and most periods are affected by backwater. Records good except for periods as noted. February 16-21, 2021 affected by ice; missing and rated poor.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum gage height 43.98 ft. January 9, 2016; minimum, 6.87 ft, October 27-31, 2013.
