07043500 LITTLE RIVER DITCH 1 NEAR MOREHOUSE, MO
LOCATION - Lat 36°50'04.3", long 89°43'48.2" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SW 1/4 NW 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.02, T.25 N., R.12 E., Stoddard County, MO, Hydrologic Unit 08020204, on downstream side of second pier right of left abutment of bridge on State Highway 114, 1.5 mi downstream from Little River Ditch 39, and 2.0 mi west of Morehouse.
DRAINAGE AREA - 450 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - Revisions: Gage datum was updated to 280.29 ft NAVD88 on June 14, 2022, as determined by a GNSS Level II survey. Gage datum was previously published as 280.76 ft NGVD29 from levels.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Oct 1945 to Dec 1991, Oct 1995 to current year. Prior to Jan 1946 monthly discharge only, published in WSP 1311.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 280.29 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Prior to Nov 17, 1949 and from Jun 11, 1951, to Feb 22, 1962, nonrecording gage at same datum. Nov 17, 1949, to Jun 10, 1951, nonrecording gage at site 50 ft downstream at present datum.
REMARKS - Accuracy of records is discussed in the annual Station Analysis archived at the USGS MO Water Science Center.  
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood of Jun 1945 reached a stage of 19.85 ft, from floodmark, discharge, 5,830 ft³/s.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum peak stage was affected by backwater from the Mississippi River.
