LOCATION - Lat 35°45'37", long 91°38'28" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NE 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.21, T.13 N., R.6 W., Independence County, AR, Hydrologic Unit 11010004, at highway bridge on State Hwy 167 (old State Hwy 11) at south edge of Batesville, and at river mile 295.7. The gage is approximately 0.25 mi upstream of Lock & Dam No. 1, approximately 0.5 mi downstream of the mouth of Poke Bayou, and approximately 35 mi upstream of the mouth of Black River.
