LOCATION - Lat 39°05'15", long 104°52'45" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SE 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.15, T.11 S., R.67 W., El Paso County, CO, Hydrologic Unit 11020003, on right bank 175 ft downstream from spillway of Monument Lake, 0.45 mi upstream of Herman Road, 0.50 mi southwest of Monument, 0.55 mi upstream from Dirty Woman Creek, and 1.1 mi southwest of State Highway 105 and I-25.
DRAINAGE AREA - 30.2 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR-US-2011: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - December 2005 through December 2014 (discontinued).
GAGE - Water-stage recorder with satellite telemetry. Elevation of gage is 6,880 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map.
REMARKS - Water year 2014; no estimated daily discharges. Records good. Natural flow of stream affected by storage reservoirs, groundwater withdrawals, and diversions for the cities of Monument and Palmer Lake. Flow completely regulated by Monument Lake, 175 ft upstream.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 150 ft³/s, May 1, 2007, from rating extended above 138 ft³/s, gage height, 3.98 ft.
