LOCATION - Lat 38°48'11", long 104°47'43" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.29, T.14 S., R.66 W., El Paso County, CO, Hydrologic Unit 11020003, near mid-span on upstream side of bridge on Janitell Road, 0.1 mi downstream from Spring Creek, and 2.4 mi southeast of courthouse in Colorado Springs.
DRAINAGE AREA - 413 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1989 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder with satellite telemetry and crest-stage gage. Elevation of gage is 5,840 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map. Prior to July 10, 1990, at site on left bank 460 ft upstream at datum 2.00 ft higher. July 10, 1990 to May 27, 1999, at site on right bank on upstream side of bridge on Janitell Road at same datum. May 28, 1999 to Mar. 1, 2010, on left bank at downstream side of bridge on Janitell Road at same datum. Mar. 2, 2010 to Oct. 19, 2014 near mid-span on upstream side of bridge on Janitell Road at same datum. Prior to Oct. 20, 2014, at datum 5.00 ft lower.
REMARKS - Water year 2014; records fair except for flows above 200 ft³/s, and estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Water year 2015; records fair except for flows above 600 ft³/s, and estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Water year 2016; records fair except for flows above 600 ft³/s, and estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Water year 2017; records fair except for flows above 267 ft³/s, and estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Water year 2018; no estimated daily discharges.
