LOCATION - Lat 38°43'46", long 104°44'00" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.24, T.15 S., R.66 W., El Paso County, CO, Hydrologic Unit 11020003, on right bank 20 ft downstream from Carson Road bridge at Security, 0.9 mi southwest of South Security School, 3.5 mi northeast of Fountain, and 5.5 mi upstream from Jimmy Camp Creek.

DRAINAGE AREA - 500 mi².

Prior to July 19, 1972, and from Feb. 21, 1980 to Mar. 23, 2003, at site 20 ft upstream on left bank; prior to July 19, 1972, and from Feb. 21, 1980 to June 30, 1986, at datum 7.00 ft higher; July 1, 1986 to Feb. 6, 1995, at datum 4.00 ft higher; Feb 7, 1995 to Nov. 29, 1995, at datum 3.00 ft higher; Nov. 30, 1995 to Apr. 4, 2001, at datum 2.00 ft higher; and Apr. 14, 2001 to Mar. 23, 2003, at present datum.
