LOCATION - Lat 37°52'18", long 98°52'33" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.16, T.25 S., R.14 W., Stafford County, KS, Hydrologic Unit 11030009, on left bank at downstream side of county highway bridge, 8 mi southeast of Macksville, and at mile 87.5.
DRAINAGE AREA - 697 mi² of which 271 mi² probably is noncontributing. DA 697; CDA 426. Per automated delineation using 30-meter NHDPlus in Kansas StreamStats website 9/11/2017.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1959 to current year.
GAGE -

Water-stage recorder. Datum of the gage is 1,964.28 ft. above msl. (NAVD88) (Static survey,OPUS-RS). Previous datum of gage was 1,963.46 ft. above NGVD of 1929 (Stafford County bench mark). Prior to July 14, 1960, non-recording gage and crest-stage gages at same site and datum.

REMARKS - Satellite telemeter at station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - June 25, 1975 reached a stage of 9.70 ft, discharge 2,800 cfs; July 16, 1993 reached a stage of 10.02 ft, discharge 3,520 cfs; and May 24, 1997 reached a stage of 9.71 ft, discharge 3,220 cfs.
