LOCATION - Lat 38°05'37", long 98°32'45" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 SW 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.33, T.22 S., R.11 W., Stafford County, KS, Hydrologic Unit 11030009, on left bank at downstream side of county highway bridge, 3.0 mi west and 9.5 mi north of Zenith, and at mile 19.3.
DRAINAGE AREA - 1,047 mi² of which 528 mi² probably is noncontributing.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - May 1973 to current year.
GAGE -

Water-stage recorder. Datum of the gage for current site (1995-present) is 1,784.20 ft. above msl. (NAVD88) (Static survey, OPUS-RS) Previous datum of gage was 1,790 ft. above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map. Prior to Aug. 9, 1995, water-stage recorder at site 2.8 miles downstream at different datum.

REMARKS - Natural flow affected by ground-water withdrawals, diversions for irrigation, and return flow from irrigated areas. Satellite telemeter at station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - At the current site/datum, the flood of May 8, 2007 reached a stage of 19.26 ft. with a corresponding discharge of 1630 cfs.
