LOCATION - Lat 35°57'06", long 97°54'51" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.14, T.17 N., R.7 W., Kingfisher County, OK, Hydrologic Unit 11050002, near right bank on downstream bridge on U.S. Highway 81, 1.0 mi downstream from Turkey Creek, 2.0 mi south of Dover, 2.5 mi upstream from Kingfisher Creek, and at mile 160.6.
DRAINAGE AREA - 15,809 mi² of which 4,075 mi² probably is noncontributing. from automated delineation using 10-meter National Elevation Dataset digital elevation model data dated 10/01/2006 and Watershed Boundary Dataset dated 10/01/2006, using Albers Equal-Area Projection, North American Datum 1983.
REVISIONS HISTORY - OK-95-1: 1994, WDR 2012: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1973 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 999.50 feet above NAVD of 1988 determined by GNSS Level II Survey using Alltera network with RTK Trimble R-10 tied to RM-1 by USGS personnel on 2/22/2023. Prior to 2/22/2023 the datum of the gage was 999.19 ft above NGVD of 1929.
REMARKS - 10/01/2022 - 09/30/2023: records fair. Quality of data for other periods can be obtained by contacting the Oklahoma-Texas Water Science Center. 
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood of Oct. 3, 1986 left high water mark showing a peak stage of 26.10 with a discharge of 123,000 ft³/s.
