LOCATION - Lat 37°31'47", long 95°40'28" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.17, T.29 S., R.16 E., Wilson County, KS, Hydrologic Unit 11070101, on left bank at downstream side of Kansas Highway 47 bridge, 1 mi west of US Highway 75 and at mile 227.9.
DRAINAGE AREA - 1,094 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1117: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1938 to current year. Monthly discharge only for some periods, published in WSP 1311.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Current datum of gage is 796.65 ft. above msl. (NAVD88) Previous datum of gage was 791.00 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map. Prior to Sept. 9, 1944, non-recording gage at same site and NGVD29 datum. Sept. 10, 1944, to Apr. 17, 2006, recording gage located 6 mi downstream at datum 780.18.
REMARKS - Considerable regulation since 1960 by Toronto Lake (station 07165900), 43.6 mi upstream. Diversion from Altoona Reservoir upstream from station for municipal supply of Altoona and considerable diversion for irrigation upstream from station. Satellite telemeter at station.
