LOCATION - Lat 37°00'14", long 96°18'59" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NW 1/4 NW 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.16, T.35 S., R.10 E., Chautauqua County, KS, Hydrologic Unit 11070106, on right bank at upstream side of county highway bridge, 2 mi west of Elgin, and at mile 117.8.
DRAINAGE AREA - 445 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1117: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1939 to current year. Monthly discharge only for some periods, published in WSP 1311.
GAGE -

Water-stage recorder. Old datum of gage is 763.32 ft above NGVD of 1929 (levels by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers). Prior to Sept. 13, 1961, at site 300 ft downstream at same datum. Prior to Apr. 6, 1989, at site on left bank at upstream side of county highway bridge at same datum.

The current datum is 764.09 ft. above mean sea level (NAVD88). This elevation was acquired Jan. 30, 2018 using Trimble R10 unit set over RM9 for a 1-hour rapid static survey. Calculations for its orthometric height derived by OPUS.
