LOCATION - Lat 36°13'48", long 95°10'55" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.09, T.20 N., R.20 E., Mayes County, OK, Hydrologic Unit 11070209, at left side of Robert S. Kerr dam on Neosho River, 2.0 mi northwest of Locust Grove, 3.5 mi downstream from Saline Creek, and at mile 47.3.
DRAINAGE AREA - 11,580 mi². From automated delineation using 10-meter National Elevation Dataset digital elevation model data dated 10/01/2006 and Watershed Boundary Dataset dated 10/01/2006, using Albers Equal-Area Projection, North American Datum 1983.

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1964 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' satellite telemeter at station.  Current datum in use is 0.25 NAVD88.  Current datum determined by GNSS Level II REF FRAME: NAD_83(2011)(EPOCH:2010.0000) ITRF2014 (EPOCH:2022.6458)[NAVD88 (Computed using GEOID18)] Tied to GNSS 203.  Prior to 10/01/2022 datum of gage is NGVD of 1929.
REMARKS -

Quality of data for all periods can be obtained by contacting the Oklahoma-Texas Water Science Center. 

All estimated periods are considered poor unless noted otherwise.

Reservoir is formed by earth dam and concrete spillway controlled by seventeen 22-foot taintor gates. Storage began Nov. 12, 1963; power pool first filled June 12, 1964. Capacity, 444,500 acre-ft at elevation 636.0 ft, top of taintor gages, 200,300 acre-ft at elevation 619.0 ft, power pool, and 48,630 acre-ft at elevation 599.0 ft, top of spillway crest. Figures given herein represent total contents.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum contents, 449,700 acre-ft, June 24, 2019, elevation, 636.27 ft; minimum since power pool first filled, 149,100 acre-ft, Feb. 16, 2006, elevation, 613.87 ft.
