LOCATION - Lat 35°47'06", long 94°51'22" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.10, T.15 N., R.23 E., Cherokee County, OK, Hydrologic Unit 11110103, on right downstream bank of county road bridge, 0.9 mi below Negro Jake Hollow, 1.9 mi northeast of Barber, and 0.5 mi upstream from Tenkiller Ferry Lake.
DRAINAGE AREA - 90.2 mi². revised. From automated delineation using 10-meter National Elevation Dataset digital elevation model data dated 10/01/2006 and Watershed Boundary Dataset dated 10/01/2006, using Albers Equal-Area Projection, North American Datum 1983.
REVISIONS HISTORY -

WDR 2012: Drainage area.

2016: Peak stage of the 2016 water year was revised. While the value that occurred in December was correct, both the date and estimated qualifier were incorrect. The date was updated to December 29 from December 27 and the estimated qualifier was removed. This revision was made November 01, 2019.

GAGE -

Water-stage recorder. U.S. Geological Survey satellite telemeter at station. Current datum in use is 632.47 NAVD88.  Current datum determined by GNSS Level II REF FRAME: NAD_83(2011)(EPOCH:2010.0000) ITRF2014 (EPOCH:2022.7170)[NAVD88 (Computed using GEOID18)] Tied to locally set GNSS Hub.  Prior to 10/01/2022 datum of gage was 631.89 ft above NAVD of 1988 (levels by Oklahoma Dept. of Transportation). Prior to June 10, 2009, at site 100 ft upstream at datum 0.20 higher, from topographic map.

REMARKS -

Quality of data for all periods can be obtained by contacting the Oklahoma-Texas Water Science Center. 

Maximum Peak Flow for 2015 WY occurred sometime during period of 07/07/2015 to 07/08/2015. Maximum Peak Flow for 2016 WY occurred during 12/27/2015. For the 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020 and 2022 water years; peak stage and discharge values occurred during periods of backwater from Tenkiller Ferry Lake. For the 2021 water year peak stage occurred during a period of backwater from Tenkiller Ferry Lake. 

All estimated records are considered poor unless noted otherwise.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - The maximum peak flow value of 13,100 cubic feet per second is an estimated value, due to backwater from Tenkiller Ferry Lake. The maximum peak stage of 34.31 feet occurred during backwater from Tenkiller Ferry Lake.

REMARKS - Samples collected periodically. Specific conductance, pH, water temperature, dissolved oxygen, and turbidity were determined in the field.
