07227100 REVUELTO CREEK NEAR LOGAN, NM
LOCATION - Lat 35°20'39.79", long 103°23'22.58" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Quay County, NM, Hydrologic Unit 11080008, on right bank 0.3 mi upstream from bridge on State Highway 469, 1.9 mi southeast of Logan, and at mile 2.3.
DRAINAGE AREA - 786 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - August 1959 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder with satellite telemetry and crest-stage gage. Elevation of gage is 3,660 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map. Prior to Jan. 16, 1981, at site 320 ft upstream at datum 0.56 ft higher.
REMARKS - Water years 2014-2015; records poor. Water years 2016-2017; records fair except for estimated discharges, which are poor. Low flows supplemented by surface- and ground-water return flow from irrigation in vicinity of Tucumcari.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - (1941-47): Maximum discharge determined, about 13,400 ft³/s, Sept. 18, 1946, gage height, 9.04 ft, at site 180 ft downstream at different datum, from unpublished records collected by Bureau of Reclamation. A peak of 26,100 ft³/s, date unknown, gage height, 12.9 ft, at former site and datum, was measured by slope-area method in May 1957.
