LOCATION - Lat 35°10'21", long 96°55'54" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.13, T.8 N., R.3 E., Pottawatomie County, OK, Hydrologic Unit 11090203, on downstream side of center pier of bridge on U.S. Highway 177, 1.5 mi downstream from Dance Creek, 5.0 mi south of Tecumseh, and at mile 77.2.
DRAINAGE AREA - 463 mi². from automated delineation using 10-meter National Elevation Dataset digital elevation model data dated 10/01/2006 and Watershed Boundary Dataset dated 10/01/2006, using Albers Equal-Area Projection, North American Datum 1983.
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1117: Drainage area. WDR 2012: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1943 to current year. Monthly discharge only for some periods, published in WSP 1311.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 898.45 above NAVD of 1988  determined by  GNSS Level II Survey using Alltera network with RTK Trimble R-10 tied to RM-9 by USGS Personnel on 07-31-2019. Prior to 07-31-2019 Datum of gage was 898.52 ft above NGVD of 1929 (levels by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers).
REMARKS -

10/01/2022 - 09/30/2023: records fair. Flow regulated or diverted since 1965 by Lake Thunderbird, 19.2 mi upstream (station 07229900). Quality of data for other periods can be obtained by contacting the Oklahoma-Texas Water Science Center.

EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood in 1932 reached a stage of 25.58 ft, from floodmark.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD PRIOR TO REGULATION - Maximum discharge 32,400 ft³/s, May 25, 1957. Maximum gage height 19.68ft. May 18, 1949.
AVERAGE DISCHARGE FOR PERIOD PRIOR TO REGULATION - Water years 1944-64, 149 ft³/s.
