LOCATION - Lat 33°50'19", long 89°18'56" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.23, T.23 N., R.9 E., Calhoun County, MS, Hydrologic Unit 08030205, Choctaw Meridian, at downstream side of bridge on State Highway 9, 0.8 mi upstream from Topashaw Creek, 1.2 mi south of Calhoun City, 1.5 mi upstream from old channel, and 4.8 mi upstream from Topashaw Creek Canal. Records include flow in Topashaw Creek Canal and all supplemental channels.
DRAINAGE AREA - 295 mi². combined drainage area of all channels.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS

Daily Discharge, cubic feet per second -- COMBINED FINAL: Oct 01, 1950 to Sep 18, 2012.

Daily Gage height, feet:  Aug 13, 1988 to current.

GAGE - Water Stage Recorder: A DCP with GOES transmitter and 15-minute scan interval.  Datum of Gage is 225.94 ft above NAVD of 1988 (Reference Frame NAD_83 (2011) (EPOCH:2010.0000) GEOID18).  Prior to October 06, 2023 the datum of gage was 226.06 NGVD of 1929.
COOPERATION - Mississippi Department of Transportation. The Army Corps of Engineers (Vicksburg District) provided cooperation for historic continuous discharge and sediment record.
REMARKS - Stage record is considered good except for missing punches due to equipment malfunction. Daily values for stage only are published. Missing data is not estimated, or gap filled.

Maximum stage from HWM at older downstream site = 25.74 feet on Dec 26, 1982
