LOCATION - Lat 34°30'25", long 99°12'28" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NW 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.05, T.1 S., R.19 W., Tillman County, OK, Hydrologic Unit 11120303, near left bank on downstream side of bridge pier on State Highway 5, 3.5 mi west of Tipton, 4.8 mi downstream from Otter Creek, and at mile 15.3.
DRAINAGE AREA - 5,010 mi² of which 579 mi² probably is noncontributing. from automated delineation using 10-meter National Elevation Dataset digital elevation model data dated 10/01/2006 and Watershed Boundary Dataset dated 10/01/2006, using Albers Equal-Area Projection, North American Datum 1983.

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - June 1983 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 1235.02ft above NAVD of 1988 determined by GNSS Level 4 Survey using Alltera network with RTK Trimble R-10 tied to RM-7 by USGS Personnel on 05/26/2021. Prior to 05/26/2021 datum of gage was 1234.45ft above NGVD of 1929.
REMARKS - 10/01/2022 - 09/30/2023: records poor. Quality of data for other periods can be obtained by contacting the Oklahoma-Texas Water Science Center. Flow regulated since December 1943 by storage and diversion at Lake Altus 54.2 mi upstream (station 07302500). Diversions for irrigation of about 48,000 acres upstream from station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 57,200 ft3/s, Oct. 5, 1986. Maximum peak stage, 19.18 ft, May 10, 1993. Lowest daily mean, 1.0 ft3/s, Sept. 9, 2013.
