LOCATION - Lat 34°44'10", long 98°30'11" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.18, T.3 N., R.12 W., Comanche County, OK, Hydrologic Unit 11130202, near left end of dam on Medicine Creek, northwest of Medicine Park and at mile 12.2. U.S.G.S. 7.5 min. quad. map sheet MOUNT SCOTT, OKLAHOMA. Comanche County.
DRAINAGE AREA - 93.1 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1994 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 1.02ft  NAVD of 1988 determined by GNSS 4hr observation Survey with Trimble R-12i tied to BM-2 by USGS Personnel on 10/03/2023. Prior to 10/03/2023 datum of gage was NGVD 1929.
REMARKS -

10/01/2022 - 09/30/2023: records good. Quality of data for other periods can be obtained by contacting the Oklahoma-Texas Water Science Center.

Reservoir is formed by concrete dam. Storage began in 1905. Capacity, 85,660 acre-ft at elevation 1,355.55 ft, top of dam; and 59,590 acre-ft at elevation 1,345.55 ft, top of gates; 38,980 acre-ft at elevation 1,335.55 ft, top of spillway. Reservoir is used for recreation. U.S. Geological Survey satellite telemeter at station.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum contents, 65,720 acre-ft, June 29, 2007, elevation 1,348.21 ft; minimum, 37,550 acre-ft, Aug. 26, Sept. 16, 2006, elevation, 1,334.75 ft.
