LOCATION - Lat 34°35'39", long 98°22'09" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.33, T.2 N., R.11 W., Comanche County, OK, Hydrologic Unit 11130202, at bridge on State Highway 7, 0.49 mi east of Interstate 44, 9.8 mi downstream from Medicine Creek.
DRAINAGE AREA - 476 mi². from automated delineation using 10-meter National Elevation Dataset digital elevation model data dated 10/01/2006 and Watershed Boundary Dataset dated 10/01/2006, using Albers Equal-Area Projection, North American Datum 1983.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - April 1, 2015 to present.
GAGE - Water stage recorder. Datum of gage is 1041.889 ft above NAVD of 1988.
REMARKS -

10/01/2020 - 09/30/2021: record fair.

Flow regulated by Lake Lawtonka and Lake Ellsworth. Flow partly regulated by Lake Lawtonka, capacity, 42,300 acre-ft on Medicine Creek prior to late 1953, and 63,000 acre-ft thereafter by Lake Thomas, capacity 8,300 acre-ft on Little Medicine Creek; and since March 1961 by Lake Ellsworth, capacity 94,500 acre-ft on East Cache Creek.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - The highest stage recorded was on June 12, 2016, with a stage of 30.39 feet, discharge 23,800 cfs.
