LOCATION - Lat 33°42'01", long 99°23'18" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Baylor County, TX, Hydrologic Unit 11130206, on left bank at downstream side of bridge on Farm Road 1919, 6.0 mi upstream from the head of Lake Kemp (station 07312000), 10.0 mi downstream from the confluence of the North and South Forks of the Wichita River, and 10.5 mi northwest of Seymour.
DRAINAGE AREA - 1,874 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - July 1952 to Sept. 1957 (miscellaneous low-flow measurements made 4.0 mi downstream), Dec. 1959 to Sept. 1979, Oct. 1996 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 1,152.7 ft above NGVD of 1929. Satellite telemeter at station.
REMARKS - No known regulation. There are low flow diversions upstream on the South Wichita River at low flow dam near Guthrie (station 07311782) to Truscott Brine Lake. Some records listed in the "Period of Record" for surface water and water quality may not be available electronically.
