LOCATION - Lat 35°17'26", long 98°35'38" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NW 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.05, T.9 N., R.13 W., Caddo County, OK, Hydrologic Unit 11130302, near left downstream abutment of bridge, on State Highway 152, 0.5 mi downstream from Fivemile Creek, 2.4 mi southwest of Eakly, 3.0 mi upstream from Fort Cobb Reservoir, and at mile 22.9.
DRAINAGE AREA - 132 mi². from automated delineation using 10-meter National Elevation Dataset digital elevation model data dated 10/01/2006 and Watershed Boundary Dataset dated 10/01/2006, using Albers Equal-Area Projection, North American Datum 1983.
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR 2012: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1968 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 1369.15 above NAVD of 1988 determined by GNSS Level II Survey using Alltera network with RTK Trimble R-10 tied to RM-5 by USGS Personnel on 07-24-2019. Prior to 07-24-2019 Datum of gage was 1,369.70 ft above NGVD of 1929. Oct. 29, 1980, to Aug. 11, 1982, gage at site 0.5 mi downstream at same datum.
REMARKS - 10/01/2022 - 09/30/2023: records good. Quality of data for other periods can be obtained by contacting the Oklahoma-Texas Water Science Center. Flow regulated since 1957 by numerous floodwater retarding structures.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Minimum daily discharge of no flow has occurred multiple times. Maximum discharge for period of record is 12,000 cfs, with a gage height of 22.05 ft on June 4, 1995.  Maximum gage height for period of record is 24.38 ft on September 29, 1986.
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - 1987-1990, June 2003 to September 2012, discontinued.
REMARKS - Samples were collected periodically and specific conductance, pH, water temperature,alkalinity and dissolved oxygen were determined in the field.
