07332621 Bois D'Arc Lake near Honey Grove, TX
LOCATION - Lat 33°42'30", long 95°57'53" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Fannin County, TX, Hydrologic Unit 11140101, on right side of intake structure service bridge railing 200 feet upstream of centerline of crest of dam.
DRAINAGE AREA - 325.8 mi².  
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Dec. 2021 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 0 ft above NAVD of 1988. Satellite telemeter at station.
REMARKS - The lake is formed by a rolled earth fill dam, 11,2000 ft long with a maximum height of 90 ft. The dam consists of a main embankment section, uncontrolled labyrinth weir service spillway, an intake and outlet works system, and an earthen, grass-lined emergency spillway. Closure of dam and deliberate impoundment of water began Apr. 14, 2021. The service spillway is a reinforced concrete structure composed of a three cycle 60 ft wide labyrinth weir, chute and stilling basin. The emergency spillway on the right abutment is an earthen, grass-lined channel with a broad crested weir. The dam and reservoir are owned and operated by the North Texas Municipal Water District. The principal uses of the reservoir are for water supply and recreation.
