LOCATION - Lat 34°38'18", long 94°36'45" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.18, T.2 N., R.26 E., Le Flore County, OK, Hydrologic Unit 11140105, in Ouachita National Forest, on downstream side of right bank pier of bridge on State Highway 63, 0.2 mi downstream from Golden Brook, 1.1 mi upstream from Big Branch, 2.1 mi east of Big Cedar, and at mile 157.6.
DRAINAGE AREA - 39.6 mi². from automated delineation using 10-meter National Elevation Dataset digital elevation model data dated 10/01/2006 and Watershed Boundary Dataset dated 10/01/2006, using Albers Equal-Area Projection , North American Datum 1983.
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR 2012: Drainage Area.
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1965 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 887.58 above NAVD of 1988  determined by GNSS Level II Survey using Alltera network with RTK Trimble R-10 tied to RM-3 by USGS Personnel on 08-07-2019Prior to 08-07-2019 Datum of gage was 886.97 ft above NGVD of 1929.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge for period of record 27,400 ft³/s, May 19, 1990. Maximum gage height for period of record, 19.60 ft, May 19, 1990.
PERIOD OF RECORD - 1907, 1962-1996, 2012 to current year.

10/01/2021 - 09/30/2022: Good. The sensor was replaced based on previous years' thoughts that the sensor was failing. A temperature check against a NIST-certified thermistor at the OKC Laboratory showed that the sensor was measuring accurately. The water quality specialist has recommended not using field sensors for comparison measurements. Instead, she suggests using a NIST-certified thermistor in the field multiple times throughout the year to verify the sensor accuracy at different temperature ranges. Approximately 6.5 weeks of data are missing between February - March due to equipment malfunctions.
