LOCATION - Lat 34°05'46", long 94°05'06" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.03, T.8 S., R.29 W., Howard County, AR, Hydrologic Unit 11140109, on downstream end of second pier from right bank on U.S. Hwy 70 bridge, 3.5 mi upstream from Holly Creek, and 4.0 mi southwest of Dierks at river mile 50.6.
DRAINAGE AREA - 124 mi².
PERIOD OF RECORD - Operated as a continuous-record station Oct 1937 to Sep 1980. Operated as a partial-record station Oct 1980 to current year.

Datum of Gage is 353.00 ft above NAVD 0f 1988 (Reference Frame NAD_83 (2011) (EPOCH:2010.0000), (GEOID18).

Prior to August 10, 2022, Datum of Gage was 353.09 ft above NGVD29.

REMARKS - As the number of streams on which streamflow information is likely to be desired far exceeds the number of continuous-record stream-gaging stations feasible to operate at one time, the USGS collects limited streamflow data at sites other than the continuous-record stream-gaging stations. When limited streamflow data are collected on a systematic basis over a period of years for use in hydrologic analyses, the site at which the data are collected is called a partial-record station. Data collected at these partial-record stations are usable in low-flow or floodflow analyses, depending on the type of data collected. The following table contains the annual maximum discharge for this partial-record station. A stage-discharge relation for the gage is developed from discharge measurements made by direct or indirect methods. The date of the maximum discharge is not always certain but is usually determined by comparison with nearby continuous-record stations, weather records, or local inquiry. Only the maximum discharge for the water year is given. Information on some lower floods may have been obtained but it is not published herein. The years given in the period of record represent water years for which the annual maximum has been determined.
