LOCATION - Lat 34°13'43", long 92°22'21" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SW 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.01, T.6 S., R.13 W., Grant County, AR, Hydrologic Unit 08040203, on downstream side of bridge on State Hwy 35, and 6 mi south of Sheridan.
DRAINAGE AREA - 261 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Oct 1995 to current year. Gage-height records 1938 to 1940 and 1947 to 1964 are published in reports of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
GAGE -

Water-stage recorder.  Datum of gage is 179.45 ft above NAVD of 1988, (Reference Frame NAD_83 (2011) (EPOCH:2010.0000) GEOID18). 

Prior to August 07, 2024, the datum of gage was unassigned.  However, it was assumed to have a datum of 180.10 ft above NGVD of 1929 but was never entered in to the "Monitor Location Registry".   Jan 1938 to Dec 1940 and Jan 1947 to Nov 1948, Nov 1948 to Dec 1964, water-stage recorder at present site and at datum then in use.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD -

The peak of period recorded by the gage when operated by USGS occurred on 2018-02-24. The peak gage height reached 16.59 ft with 32,100 cfs maximum discharge. A peak of 17.60 ft was recorded on 1960-06-28 while the gage was being operated by USACE.
