  • Water-Year Summary reports summarize a year of hydrologic data in a printer-friendly format.
  • For water years 2014 onward, choose a water year and parameter and an on-demand Water-Year Summary report will be generated.
  • For water years 2006 through 2013, choose a water year and an Annual Water Data Report will be provided.
  • For water years 2005 and earlier, Annual Water Data Reports may be available in digital format.
  • Not all sites have reports available for every water year.

LOCATION - Lat 29°22'58", long 90°42'55" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in sec.86, T.19 S., R.17 E., Terrebonne Parish, LA, Hydrologic Unit 08090302, on the downstream side of Bouquet Bridge, 0.1 miles west of the intersection of Falgout Canal Road and Highway 57, 0.8 miles south of Dulac, 16.4 miles south of Houma.
DRAINAGE AREA - Indeterminate.
REVISIONS HISTORY - Datum of gage was incorrectly published October 1985 to September 2010.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1984 to September 1988 (daily discharge below 6.0 ft stage only). January 1989 to September 1998. October 1999 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and acoustic velocity meter. Datum of gage is 0.357 ft above NAVD 88, Geoid03.
REMARKS -

No estimated daily discharge. Records poor. Site affected by wind, tide, and boat traffic. Satellite telemetry at station.

Positive and negative flows at this site are defined by direction and are specified to be parallel to the channel at the gage location. The positive flow direction is south.

Streamflow at this site is affected significantly by astronomical tides. Astronomical tides cause significant cycles of approximately 24.84 hours at this site. Because a different portion of the 24.84 hour tidal cycle is averaged in successive daily (24-hour) computations, a systematic secondary oscillation, unrelated to basin hydrology and having a period of about two weeks may be apparent in daily data published prior to October 29, 2013.

Maximum positive discharge estimated discharge due to rating model exceedance during Hurricane Ida in August 2021.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum recorded positive discharge, 3,570 ft³/s, Aug 29, 2021, estimated; maximum gage height, 8.89 ft, Oct 28, 1985; maximum negative discharge, -4,630 ft³/s, Sep 23, 2004; minimum gage height, not determined.
