LOCATION - Lat 29°32'19", long 91°14'45" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, St. Mary Parish, LA, Hydrologic Unit 08090302, site is approximately twelve miles south of Morgan City, LA at the intersection of Bayou Chene and the Atchafalaya River.
DRAINAGE AREA - Indeterminate
REVISIONS HISTORY - Gage height record for the period of Nov. 5, 2014 to Dec. 19, 2018 was revised on Jan. 31, 2019 to reflect gage subsidence.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - July 1995 to September 2008(discharge measurements only). October 2008 to Oct 2019(gage heights and discharge measurements).
GAGE - Records poor. Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 2.026 feet below NAVD88 GEOID12a.
COOPERATION - U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District.
REMARKS - Discharge measurements and suspended sediment collected as part of GIWW synoptic. Gage height and discharge measurements affected by winds and tide at all stages. Satellite telemetry at station. Site destroyed by barge traffic March 2019. Site discontinued to lack of funding Oct 2019.
