LOCATION - Lat 32°48'26", long 97°14'54" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Tarrant County, TX, Hydrologic Unit 12030102, at downstream side of downstream bridge on East Belknap Street, near east boundary of Haltom City, 1.5 mi upstream from Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad Co. bridge, 2.0 mi upstream from Little Fossil Creek, 3.5 mi upstream from mouth, and 6.0 mi northeast of downtown Fort Worth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 52.8 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1922: Drainage area.
PERIOD OF RECORD - Jan. 1959 to Sept. 1973 (daily mean discharges), Aug. 1992 to Sept. 2013 (crest-stage gage), Feb. 2015 to current year. PERIOD OF RECORD, Water-Quality.-- CHEMICAL DATA: Jan. to Aug. 1964, Aug. to Oct. 2001. RADIOCHEMICAL DATA: Aug. to Oct. 2001.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 489.48 ft above NGVD of 1929; 489.49 ft above NAVD of 1988. Prior to Oct. 1, 1967, at site at datum 2.00 ft higher. Satellite telemeter at station.
REMARKS - Some records listed in the "Period of Record" for surface water and water quality may not be available electronically. Channel rectification and improvement completed in vicinity of gage during 1966 water year.
