LOCATION - Lat 33°20'59", long 97°02'08" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Denton County, TX, Hydrologic Unit 12030103, on upstream side of hike and bike bridge in Ray Roberts Lake State Park Greenbelt Elm East unit.
DRAINAGE AREA - 694 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - May 2004 to Feb. 2009 (miscellaneous discharge measurements), June 2009 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 521.71 ft above NGVD of 1929 and 522.04 ft above NAVD of 1988. Satellite telemeter at station.
REMARKS - Since installation of gage, flow has been entirely regulated by Ray Roberts Lake (08051100), which is located 0.90 mi upstream of gage.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge since at least 1900, 189,900 ft³s in Oct. 1981 from discontinued gages 5.5 mi upstream on Elm Fork Trinity River (08050500) and 6.8 mi upstream on Isle Du Bois Creek (08051000).
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 8,240 ft³s, May 24, 2015, gage-height 30.98 ft.; minimum, 0.01 ft³s, May 2,3, 2016, gage-height, 7.59 ft.
