08052745 Doe Branch at US Highway 380 near Prosper, TX
LOCATION - Lat 33°13'09", long 96°53'30" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Denton County, TX, Hydrologic Unit 12030103, 50 feet upstream of upstream side of US Highway 380 bridge, 5.1 mi southwest of downtown Prosper, and 0.6 mi west of the intersection of US Highway 380 and Farm to Market Road 423.
DRAINAGE AREA - 38.5 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Oct. 2004 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 0.00 feet above NGVD of 1929 and 0.11 feet below NAVD of 1988. Prior to Feb. 2022, located 150 feet downstream on downstream side of US Highway 380 bridge. Satellite telemeter at station.
REMARKS - Station is periodically affected by backwater conditions from Lewisville Lake. Since installation of gage, at least 10% of contributing drainage area has been regulated. The Upper Trinity Regional Water District discharges water through a pipeline from Jim L. Chapman Lake into the channel upstream from this station, which accounts for nearly all base flows at this site.
